Pac-12 races starting to heat up

PHOENIX (AP) - Oregon State is off to its best start since before World War I, undefeated and up to seventh in the BCS rankings.
All that has done is keep the Beavers on pace with second-ranked Oregon in the Pac-12 North Division.
Heading into the final five weeks of the regular season, the Pac-12's division races are heating up.
The North will likely come down to the two Oregon schools, though both have some tough games left, including each other in the Civil War. No. 9 Stanford is still in the mix, too, just a game behind at 3-1.
In the South, No. 10 Southern California has bounced back from its conference-opening loss to Stanford and now has a half-game lead after Arizona State was routed by Oregon.
Arizona picked up its first win last weekend by defeating Washington 52-17.
