PHOENIX (AP) - Police say a woman has died after locking herself in a car in Phoenix and refusing to come out.
KPHO-TV reports that Phoenix police found the woman Saturday afternoon non-responsive and sweating profusely inside the vehicle.
Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump says family members were called and brought a spare key to rescue the woman. But Crump says the woman woke and would continually try to relock the doors.
He says once the woman was pulled out of the vehicle she yelled at officers and bit one of them.
Police say the woman passed out after being cuffed and seated on a curb.
She was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died.
Authorities say cause of death is unknown.
