Suspect in failed robbery attempt arrested hours later

TUCSON(KGUN9-TV) - A man seen smiling in surveillance video after trying to rob a bank was located Friday night and arrested.
Sgt. Maria Hawke with Tucson Police tells KGUN9 that Rosalio Monge Jr., 22, was located after South Tucson Police Officers were sent to his home for a domestic disturbance, hours after the failed robbery attempt.
The attempted robbery occurred at the Pima Federal Credit Union located at 2455 E. Valencia Rd. around 1:18 p.m Friday.
When police arrived at the scene, Monge had already fled, but no one inside the bank was harmed.
Monge handed the teller a note demanding money and left the bank when the teller refused.
Monge was booked into the Pima County Jail for one count of attempted robbery.
