Pursuit leads to human smuggling Investigation

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A stop for an equipment violation resulted in a pursuit and arrest of four illegal immigrants on Oct 19.
A Chevy pickup truck at Steele Road and Highway 87 failed to yield when the Pinal County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop the vehicle for an equipment violation at approximately 7:45 a.m., according to Tim Gaffney of the PCSO.
The truck traveled four miles until it stopped near the Coolidge Airport. Twenty individuals exited the truck and ran different directions.
The PCSO, U.S. Border Patrol and the Coolidge Police Department responded to assist.
The four individuals that were captured said all twenty people had entered the U.S. illegally from Durango, Mexico.
The four illegal immigrants were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol and the truck will be impounded by the PCSO.
