TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Crews with Northwest Fire began receiving reports of a mobile home fire near Twin Peaks Road and Linda Vista Boulevard around 5:20 a.m. Thursday morning.
After arriving at the scene, crews discovered that the fire was coming from a mobile trailer, not a mobile home. The trailer belonged to a Poore Brothers potato chips distributor who was on his way to make deliveries.
Cpt. Adam Goldberg tells KGUN9 the fire was the result of a mechanical failure with the trailer's tires that had just been replaced.
No injuries were reported and crews got the fire under control in about six minutes. There was a total of $13,000 in damages, including $6,000 of destroyed potato chips.
