TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Governor Jan Brewer signed an emergency declaration today for flood recovery help in Greenlee County.
According to a news release, the declaration will direct $100,000 from the General Fund to help restore the rainstorm damage to the town of Duncan in Greenlee County.
Rainstorms that lasted from September 6 through September 12 damaged the town of Duncan’s significant infrastructure and eroded bulky sections of the main road. The town does not have enough people nor equipment to alleviate damage of this size, according to the press release.
The Director of the Arizona Division of Emergency Management will expend the General Fund money.
