Pedestrian hit by car after falling off median

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man was hit by a car Friday afternoon after he fell off the median into incoming traffic.
Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that a man who sells newspapers at the intersection of La Canada Drive and River Road suffered some kind of a medical issue, causing him to fall into the road.
An incoming vehicle struck the man.
He was taken to University of Arizona Medical Center in Critical Condition.
