Border Patrol finds wanted felon, seizes drugs

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Border Patrol agents detained a wanted felon and found heroin and marijuana during three separate incidents Thursday.
Officials with Border Patrol tell KGUN9 that a stop in Nogales, Ariz. led agents to Ezequiel Fontes, a man wanted on a felony burglary charge.
Agents turned Fontes over to the Nogales Police Department.
Earlier in the day, agents at the Interstate 19 checkpoint found a little more than a pound of heroin, worth an estimated $16,200.
In a separate incident, Ajo agents found 1,360 pounds of marijuana worth almost $700,000 in an abandoned truck.
All of the drugs were turned over to the DEA.
