SIERRA VISTA, Ariz (KGUN9-TV) - Shortly before the FBI announced Nick Ivie was killed by friendly fire, Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano met with the Ivie family in Sierra Vista.
Napolitano arrived at Nick Ivie's home in late afternoon. After a few words with one of Ivie's brothers, Napolitano and deputy Customs and Border Protection commissioner David Aguilar went to meet the rest of the family. Almost 30 family members have come from Utah since the shooting.
Earlier KGUN9 news found Napolitano's motorcade headed for the Brain Terry Border Patrol station in Naco. She spent about 90 minutes inside learning more about the case then boarded a helicopter for a view of the shooting scene.
