Motorcycle collision leaves one man dead

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Pima County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident at the intersection of Thornydale Road and Lambert Lane at approximately 8 a.m. on Friday morning.
William Henry Swier, 61, was traveling southbound on Thornydale Road when he struck a sedan on the passenger side.
The sedan was driving eastbound on Lambert Lane and did not yield to the motorcycle at a stop sign, according to Pima County Sheriff's Department.
Swier was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
