Deputies searching for man missing since last week

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies are looking for a missing 59-year-old man who was last seen last week.

Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that Daniel Mendez was last seen on Sept. 26 at a dialysis center at 3662 S. 16th Ave. for treatment.

He was a resident at a nursing home in the 5800 block of South Aldorn Drive.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt. He is about 5'8'' tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown eyes and white hair.

He has a bad limp and is usually unable to get around without his walker.

He is diagnosed as a diabetic, and he also suffers from high blood pressure and Tuberculosis.

In the past, Mendez has been seen frequently in the area of 44th Street and 6th Avenue.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
