TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Sierra Vista man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison in a child pornography case.
Federal authorities say 38-year-old Michael D. Flammond will be on lifetime supervised release after serving his prison term and must register as a sex offender.
Flammond pleaded guilty in January to charges of conspiracy to receive child pornography and possession of child porn. He was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Tucson.
According to court documents, a store clerk in Texas contacted authorities in October 2006 after he discovered images of child pornography on a computer he bought from Flammond.
Authorities say a forensic examination of the computer revealed nearly 350 images of child porn plus evidence that some additional pornographic images had been distributed online between February and July 2006.
