TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The three remaining jail employees who were arrested on felony assault charges for their involvement at a recent bar fight at the Buffet Bar near 4th Avenue were terminated Thursday.
The fight happened in the early hours of Wednesday, Sept. 19 when a total of sixteen corrections officers went to the Buffet Bar for drinks. TPD said that five of them ended up badly beating two men in an unprovoked attack outside.
A father and his 17-year-old son tried to stop the beating but got beat up themselves by the officers, police said.
All five were arrested and two were initially fired from their jobs. Thursday's announcement means all five have been let go from the department following the fight and subsequent assault charges.
