TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police have arrested 48-year old Arnold Granilloa for a homicide that lead to a death of 45-year old Kimberly Tsonetokoy.
Sgt. Chris Widmer tells KGUN9 that on September 27, police received a 9-1-1 call from a residence in the 300 Block of West Adams Street.
An adult female reported she had awoken to find Tsonetokoy suffering from head injuries and needed immediate medical assistance.
Officers responded and located Tsonetokoy at the residence suffering from obvious signs of trauma, indicative of being assaulted.
The victim was unresponsive and transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening
injuries, says Widmer. She later died as a result of her injuries.
Detectives have determined a confrontation between the victim and the victim’s live-in boyfriend. During the confrontation, the boyfriend assaulted Tsonetokoy, causing severe head trauma.
The victim’s daughter and granddaughter were asleep in the residence during the time of the incident.
Granillo has been booked and charged with one count of 2nd degree murder.
