Police looking for armed robbers who use physical force

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police need the public's help in identifying two men who robbed three separate locations Monday using guns and physical force.

Sgt. Chris Widmer with TPD tells KGUN9 that the men approached three employees in the back parking lot of the Department of Economic Security building at 5443 E. 22nd St. right before 10 p.m. Monday and ordered them to hand over their money.

The two men had their guns drawn and the three employees ran away.

Two of them were able to get away but the men caught one of the employees and beat him before taking his wallet and iPod.

Twenty minutes later, the same two men entered the El Rio Health Clinic at 6950 E. Golf Links Rd. and struck someone over the head with a gun before stealing another iPod and money from one of the victims.

Just before 11 p.m. Monday, the two men entered the Pizza Hut at 4710 E. Speedway Blvd. through a back door and ordered the employees to get to the ground at gunpoint.

One employee was hit over the head with a gun and the two men were given an undisclosed amount of money before leaving through the back door.

One of the robbers is described as a Hispanic or African American male, between 24 and 29 years old, 6'5'' tall with a muscular build.

He was wearing a gray t-shirt, dark jeans, white tennis shoes and a bandanna over his face.

The second man is described as African American, also between 24 and 29 years old, 5'8'' to 5'10'' tall and 190 pounds.

He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, white tennis shoes and a t-shirt over his face.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of these two men is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
