TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police have arrested two people in connection to the shooting of a 29-year-old man in the parking lot of an Eegee's restaurant.

Sgt. Chris Widmer tells KGUN9 that Jovon Mankel, 22 and Priscilla Rodriguez, 20, were both arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail.

Police found Jose Carlos Gonzales last week in the parking lot of the Eegee's at 3872 N. Oracle Rd. with multiple gun shot wounds.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Detectives learned that Mankel and Gonzales arrived in separate vehicles and there was some kind of confrontation, when one man fired shots at the other.

Mankel was located at a motel by the U.S. Marshals Arizona Wanted Task Force and charged with one count of first degree murder.

Rodriguez is Mankel's girlfriend and was also at the scene of the shooting and aware of Mankel's warrant.

Police found her with 51 pain killers during the time of her arrest.

She was charged with one count of hindering prosecution and one count of narcotic drug for sale.
