FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - A Goodyear man is dead after an off-road accident in northern Arizona.
Coconino County Sheriff's officials say 34-year-old Justin Mojliro Muramoto died Sunday as a result of injuries he sustained in Saturday's accident in the Forest Lakes area.
Witnesses say Muramoto was riding a quad type off-road vehicle and following a family member who was riding a quad in front of him.
The driver of the leading quad stopped his vehicle at a stop sign, but witnesses say Muramoto drove into the intersection and lost control of his quad as he tried to make a sharp turn.
Authorities say he was ejected and landed in a ditch and was transported to a Flagstaff-area hospital with severe injuries.
