Arizona State defeats Utah 37-7

TEMPE (AP) In its Pac-12 opener, Utah's defense has had no answer for the Arizona State offense, which couldn’t be stopped in the first half Saturday night as the Sun Devils raced to a 31-7 halftime lead over the Utes at Sun Devil Stadium.
Taylor Kelly threw for a career high 326 yards and three touchdowns. Arizona State improves to 3-1 (1-0 in Pac-12.) ASU bounces back from its first loss under new head coach Todd Graham.
The Sun Devils struck early with 3 touchdowns in their first 3 possessions. By the time the first quarter ended, the Utes were down 21-0 and looking like a team desperate to avoid an embarrassing rout, forget showing any potency that would make it a South title leader.
ASU hasn't lost to the Utes at home since 1976.
