TEMPE (AP)  Kevin Kolb waited three years to replace Donovan McNabb as the starting quarterback for the Eagles. He kept the job for just one half.

Two years later, he has a chance to prove they gave up on him too soon. Kolb will lead the Arizona Cardinals against Philadelphia in a matchup of 2-0 teams on Sunday. He's doing his best to treat this like any other game, though it certainly has a personal flavor.

The Eagles selected Kolb in the second round of the 2007 draft and groomed him to replace Donovan McNabb. He eventually did, only to get injured and lose his job to Michael Vick, resulting in his trade to Arizona.

In a twist, an injury to Cardinals starter John Skelton has put Kolb in position to start against his former team.
