TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police responded to Catalina High School Friday after reports of a stabbing.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with TPD says a 16-year-old sophomore was stabbed by a 15-year-old who does not attend the school.
The two got into some kind of fight when the 16-year-old was stabbed.
The victim has serious injuries and is being treated at a nearby hospital.
Witnesses gave police a license plate number and officers were able to trace that back to his house, where they took the 15-year-old into custody.
The incident happened right after school was dismissed for the day, about 3 p.m.
Tucson Police are investigating, and TUSD also has school safety officers present.
KGUN9 has a crew at the school and will update this story as information becomes available.
