ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A grand jury indicted two people in the case of a 14-year-old girl who was molested in March, according to Lt. Kara Riley with the Oro Valley Police Department.
Riley tells KGUN9 that Melissa Ann Gordy and Charles Wesley Lewis were indicted on multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count each of child abuse.
Gordy was also charged with one county of evidence tampering while Lewis was charged with multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 15 years old.
All of these are felony charges.
In March, Oro Valley police officers responded to a home in response to child molestation.
The investigation revealed evidence that a 14-year-old girl was being sexually abused by a family member who turned out to be Lewis.
Lewis fled town and officers obtained an arrest warrant with a half million dollar bond.
In April, officers arrested Gordy in the same investigation.
Gordy is no longer in custody and Lewis is being held at the Pima County Jail.
