TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A car was badly burned in a carport fire in midtown.
Tucson firefighters were called to the 900 block of north Dodge Blvd around 1:00 p.m. Monday, according to Barrett Baker with the Tucson Fire Department.
Baker tells KGUN9 that an orange Chevy Avalanche had the most damage, but it is too early into the investigation to determine the cause and total damage of the incident.
Townhomes near the carport were evacuated as a safety precaution while firefighters put out the flames.
It took 10 minutes and 22 firefighters to control the fire in eight minutes.
No injuries were reported.
