TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - For the fifth consecutive year Oro Valley's Procurement Division has received the National Procurement Institute's Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award.  Procurement Administrator Brian Garrity was presented with the award.

The town of Oro Valley is one of only 15 government agencies in Arizona to receive the award.  Nationwide, only 54 cities have received the Procurement Award.

The award given out by the National Procurement Institute is an effort to recognize excellence in public procurement.

Recipients of the award are selected based upon professionalism, productivity, and leadership among other criteria.
