Arizona gasoline prices rise for 6th week in row

PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona motorists are paying more at the pump for the sixth consecutive week, with prices climbing by nearly 35 cents in the past month.
   
Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is $3.72 a gallon. That's up by almost 3 cents from last week.
   
This week's national average is $3.86 per gallon, an increase of nearly 5 cents from last week and up by almost 17 cents in the past month.
   
Tucson has the lowest average gasoline price in Arizona at $3.617 a gallon while Flagstaff has the highest at $3.86.
   
Mississippi has the lowest average gas prices in the continental U.S. at $3.614 a gallon with California having the highest at $4.16 a gallon.
