SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The Missing in America Project laid to rest 19 veterans whose remains were never claimed.

The veterans' final journey in a motorcade began Tuesday in Tucson and ended in Sierra Vista. All branches of the military were in attendance.

"Some of the guys we are burying today -- unfortunately life wasn't too kind to them, but that doesn't mean that they weren't kind to their country," said Jim Fuller, a representative with the Missing in America Project.

The remains are now at the Veterans' Memorial Cemetary in Fort Huachuca.

"It's our job to do that (and) to show that we honor their service and we honor their life," Fuller said.
