DREXEL HEIGHTS, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Search and rescue crews successfully saved two children and their mother from a wash southwest of Tucson, according to Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
Peine told KGUN9 News a mother with an 18 month old and a 5 year old were stuck in a Dodge Charger at Camino Verde and Bilby Road in the area of Ajo Highway.
Peine said the water was up to the doors, and there was a passerby on scene trying to help.
The road had not been closed so Peine said no arrests were made.
