TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Family members of a slain Border Patrol agent speak out about the recent arrest made in the case.
In a statement made Saturday morning, the family of Brian Terry said, "This is a long-awaited arrest and a great development in the murder investigation of Brian. To the extent closure can ever be realized this is an important part of the process. However, the key issue of government accountability remains. Why was the operation that killed Brian authorized and who will be held to account? These questions must be answered no matter how high we must look to get them. The family looks forward to the pending Inspector General's report."
The Terry family will be in Tucson next week hosting a dinner to honor Brian and his efforts with the U.S. Border Patrol. Congressman Darrell Issa and Congressman Ron Barber will attend the dinner, along with other members of the Arizona congressional delegation.
The following day, the Terry family and U.S. Border Patrol will travel to Naco, Ariz. for a ceremony in which a border station will be renamed in Brian Terry's honor.
