Drug smuggler sentenced to 46 months in prison

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Carlos Granillo- León, 27, of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico was sentenced to 46 months in prison when he was found by Douglas Station Border Patrol attempting to re-enter the United States in December 2011 following a previous deportation.
Agents learned that Granillo- León had previously been convicted of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in 2010 and was sentenced to 21 months in prison.
Granillo- León will be removed from the United States following his 46 month sentence and is banned for life from any legalization process.
