TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Another active day expected across southern and central Arizona for Friday.

Heavy rain that started Thursday, has continued to drop anywhere from a half inch to an inch of rain across some areas overnight and into Friday morning.

The National Weather service has issued a Flood Warning for north central Pima County. At 8 a.m. Friday morning, Pima County Flood Control gauges indicated over 3000 cubic feet per second flow in the Brawley Wash south of the Manville and Sandario intersection. This flow will be out of the bank at some locations on Brawley wash.

An urban and small stream Flood Advisory has also been issued for east central Maricopa County and north central Pinal County, which includes the city of Apache Junction, Queen Creek, and Mesa.

This advisory will last until at least 9:45a.m. Friday morning.

As of 7:50a.m. Friday morning, up to one half-inch of rain had fallen in 30 minutes time. This will cause normally dry washes to begin running as well as ponding of water on roadways, underpasses and low lying areas.

Keep in mind that any and all advisories and warning could be extended as more rain is expected throughout the day Friday.
