TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - An animal made contact with Tucson Electric Power equipment Wednesday night, causing nearly 5,000 customers to lose power, according to Joseph Barrios with TEP.
Barrios tells KGUN9 crews were able to trace the outage to one of TEP's substations where an animal caused several breakers to flip open.
As of 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, all service was restored to the 4,900 customers affected.
The outage began about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.
