TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A woman died after she was taken back to the hospital for complications from a car accident in early August, according to Sgt. Chris Widmer with Tucson Police.
Widmer tells KGUN9 that Ofelia Sanchez, 52, was involved in a one car accident in the 3500 block of North Flowing Wells Road on Aug. 12.
After the accident, she was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
She had been recovering from the accident in a long-term care facility when complications sent her back to the hospital.
She died Aug. 27.
Her car hit a light pole, a parked car and an apartment building during the accident.
Officers said alcohol appeared to be a factor.
