Tucson Fire finds midtown storage fire "suspicious"

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Three storage buildings caught on fire Monday afternoon, and Tucson Fire is investigating the case as suspicious because the buildings had no power, according to Capt. Barrett Baker with TFD.
Baker tells KGUN9 that the fire was in three empty storage units in an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Los Altos.
The fire threatened townhomes to the south and a house to the west, so multiple units surrounded the buildings on fire to extinguish the flames before it could spread.
The units had previously been used as storage but were empty and under construction. There was no power to the buildings.
It took Tucson Fire 11 units and 26 firefighters to bring the fire under control in 15 minutes.
There were no injuries to firefighters or residents.
Tucson Fire estimates the damage at $30,000.
