TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Severe weather could ruin Labor Day plans for people in parts of Pima County.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for south-central Pima County, according to the National Weather Service in Tucson.
The warning will remain in effect until 5:15 p.m. Monday.
The Doppler Radar has indicated a severe storm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 70 mph.
The storm was located 19 miles southwest of Green Valley, moving southwest at 5 mph.
Residents of south-central Pima County are encouraged to seek shelter indoors and stay away from windows as large hail, frequent lightning, and heavy rain are all likely with this storm system.
