NWS predicting flooding in streams and washes in parts of Pima County
Web Producer: Taylor Avey
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Heavy rain hitting parts of Pima County is expected to cause small stream flooding.
A flash flood warning has just been issued for south-central Pima County, and the warning advisory will remain in effect until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, according to Tucson's National Weather Service.
The NWS has also issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for east-central Pima County, and a small stream flood advisory for central Pima County, including the city of Sells and west-central Santa Cruz County.
A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated and ponding of water is occurring or is imminent.
Motorists in the area should proceed with caution on roadways and avoid entering flowing or flooded washes.
