TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A water main break near Calle Santa Cruz and Drexel Road is causing 1,000 water customers to lose water service or have low pressure, according to Fernando Molina with Tucson Water.

Molina tells KGUN9 that the areas affected by this break are Starr Pass, Old Ajo Highway, Mocking Bird Lane, Greasewood and 36th Street, and Park and Ajo.

There is no estimated time when crews will have the break repaired, but they are out there trying to stop the water coming from the break.

Molina says once the crews can get the water to stop, water will be re-directed to customers. It could take awhile for customers to have full service though, because the pipes have to fill back up and that takes time.
