Local Red Cross volunteer sent to help hurricane prep

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A volunteer with the Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Red Cross has deployed to Florida to help prepare for Tropical Storm Isaac, according to Theresa Grant with the Red Cross.
Grant tells KGUN9 that the Red Cross plans to open dozens of shelters across Florida and are moving trained disaster workers into the state.
Lewis Hamburger from the Southern Arizona chapter will help as crews prepare in advance of the storm.
It is his third assignment with the Red Cross.
