Monsoon leads to Pima County road closure

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Silverbell Road at the Blanco Wash crossing is closed due to large amounts of water as a result of recent rains, according to officials with the Pima County Department of Transportation.
The department tells KGUN9 the closure is necessary for safety purposes until the water recedes.
The closure is specifically at the Bailey Bridge, and additional flows may compromise the bridge structure, according to the department.
Traffic to the Green Acres Subdivision can use Trico Road, to El Tiro Road and then travel west to Cocio Road.
Traffic west of Cocio Road can use Pump Station Road.
