TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - An illegal immigrant wanted in connection with a murder case in Mexico has been arrested in southern Arizona.
U.S. Border Patrol officials said Tuesday that Ajo Station agents apprehended four people who illegally crossed the border into Arizona.
During processing, record checks revealed one of the men - 32-year-old Remigio Lopez-Alvarez - had an active homicide warrant from Chiapas, Mexico.
Following immigration proceedings, authorities say Lopez-Alvarez was turned over to Mexican authorities.
Details of the homicide case weren't immediately available.
