FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Coconino County sheriff's officials say a man suspected of burglarizing at least forty homes in a rural area southeast of Flagstaff the past year has been arrested.
Sheriff's Cmdr. Rex Gilliland says 52-year-old Edward Sedillo Sr. was arrested Friday morning in Flagstaff. Warrants name him as a suspect in a series of burglaries in an area known as Blue Ridge, about 20 miles southeast of Flagstaff.
Gilliland tells the Arizona Daily Sun that deputies who served a search warrant on Blue Ridge and Winslow homes where Sedillo stayed recovered more than 150 items on Aug. 10. Among the items were a vintage Jeep, several off-road vehicles, dozens of power and hand tools and an air compressor.
The Blue Ridge burglaries began last year after Sedillo moved into the area. A neighborhood watch group had noticed suspicious activity and reported Sedillo to the sheriff's office.
