Man shot during Arizona Cardinals game

GLENDALE, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - A man was shot during an altercation that took place during Friday night's Arizona Cardinals game.
Glendale police responded to a call about a shooting incident in the 9600 block of west Maryland Avenue, just north of the Arizona Cardinals Stadium around 9:30 p.m. Friday, according to Sgt. Brent Coombs with the Glendale Police Department.
The call came from a man who said he accidentally shot another man after a verbal altercation that broke out about an hour before the Arizona Cardinals game ended.
The caller stayed with the victim until police arrived at which time he was taken into custody without incident.
The victim sustained a single gunshot wound, but was transported to a local hospital with stable vital signs and non-life-threatening injuries.
No one else near the scene sustained any injuries during the altercation.
