Suspect named in homicide case

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson police have arrested a suspect in connection with a southside shooting that left one man dead and a woman injured.
Ramon Rodriguez, 21, was arrested for the murder of 27-year-old David Rodriguez, according to Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department.
Rodriguez has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder, one count of aggravated assault and one count of prohibited possessor, according to Widmer.
Police say David Rodriguez was killed during a shooting incident at a motel in the 1000 block of east Benson Highway July 29.
Upon arriving on scene, Tucson police found a Hispanic man and a Caucasian woman, both suffering from obvious signs of trauma.
Emergency crews from the Tucson Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the man and woman to a local hospital.
The man was suffering from life-threatening injuries and seccumbed to his wounds at the hospital.
