Monsoon moving into Southern Arizona

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The National Weather Service has issued a small stream flood advisory for Western Pima County until 4:45 p.m.
Areas affected include:
- The Alamo Wash near Highway 85, North of the Organ Pipe Monument Visitor Center
- Small streams flowing into the San Simon wash and across Indian Road 21 near Pisinemo
- Small streams on Indian Road 18 near Ali Chuk.
Additional thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and rain coverage will spread Northward into the Ajo area.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels in washes and streams and pounding of water on country roads and farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
