Rich Rodriguez building excitement in the desert

TUCSON (AP) - Rich Rodriguez's read-option offense was a hit at West Virginia, not so much at Michigan.
Now, he's hoping it'll work in the desert.
Back in coaching after being fired by the Wolverines in 2010, Rodriguez has given Arizona football a level of excitement usually reserved for the school's basketball team.
The charismatic coach has given the program national exposure and his up-tempo offense figures to be exciting to watch.
The Wildcats may need time to pick it up, though.
They struggled with conditioning during spring drills and have to learn to play an offense that emphasizes the run after primarily passing the ball under previous coach Mike Stoops.
Running the offense will be senior Matt Scott, who gets his shot after two years as Nick Foles' understudy.
