U.S. citizen arrested after x-ray equipment finds pot

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - One person was arrested Tuesday after border patrol agents found 50 pounds of marijuana using x-ray equipment, according to officials with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Agents working at the Interstate 19 checkpoint seized a vehicle after a canine team alerted agents during an initial inspection.

A secondary inspection using x-ray equipment found two bundles of marijuana, valued at $25,000 concealed in a compartment.

The person, a U.S. citizen, was arrested and the vehicle seized by agents.
