TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -Students planning to attend Pima Community College will have a little help paying for tuition this semester, thanks to the Rosemont Copper Company.
Rosemont Copper Company awarded $28,000 to PCC students, which is slated for 18 different scholarships.
An additional $4,000 in scholarships was awarded to students attending the University of Arizona and Grand Canyon University this year.
The funds were specifically awarded to students who are studying in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
In a statement, Rod Pace, Rosemont Copper president and chief executive officer said, "We are proud to support the education of these outstanding students in Pima County."
