ORO VALLEY, Ariz., (KGUN9-TV) - Oro Valley police arrested one woman in a fraud operation, according to Lt. Kara Riley with the Oro Valley Police Department.
Riley tells KGUN9 that Brittney Leigh Underwood, 29, was arrested for multiple counts of fraud schemes and artifices, aggravated identity theft, and credit card theft, after police searched her home and found evidence of a large fraud operation.
Police served a search warrant in the 10000 block of East Speedway last month, where Underwood lives, and found that she appeared to be one of the leaders of this criminal syndicate.
The scam involves Beavers Band Box and Egencia, and police say if anyone is contacted by someone claiming to represent either of these organizations, do not give them any information.
If you have any information about those involved, or if you have been a victim of this scam, police ask to contact detectives at 520-229-4943.
