Barrett advances to women's high jump final

LONDON (Arizona Athletics) University of Arizona Wildcat student-athlete Brigetta Barrett competed in the preliminary round of the women’s high jump on Thursday at London’s Olympic Stadium.
Barrett earned a spot in the final of the high jump with a clearance of 6-4 (1.93m). She only recorded one miss on the day, taking two tries to clear 6-4. She entered the competition at 5-8.75 (1.75m) and finished her competition after securing her spot in the final with a 6-4 clearance.
For the 2012 outdoor season, Barrett has cleared 6-4 or better on eight different occasions. Barrett will return to Olympic Stadium for the final on Saturday, August 11th at 11 a.m. MST.
