TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Two men have been arrested on suspicion of arson for the July 30 structure fire on Tucson's south side.
Eduardo West, 34, and Cruz Baumea, 40, were arrested Wednesday, August 1 for their involvement in a structure fire in the 500 block of east 24th Street, according to Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department.
During the initial investigation, a witness claimed to have seen two male subjects leaving the scene of the fire just before it became engulfed in flames, according to Widmer.
The investigation led examiners from the Tucson Fire Department along with arson detectives from the Tucson Police Department to West and Baumea.
Both have been charged with one count of arson of an occupied structure and one count of criminal damage, which are felony offenses, according to Widmer.
