NOGALES, Ariz. (AP) - A North Dakota juvenile wanted for murder and assault in Washington state has surrendered to authorities in southern Arizona.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say the 16-year-old boy from Fargo turned himself in to officers Sunday at the DeConcini Port of Entry.
CBP officers arrested the teen after confirming a warrant issued in December by the Lynden Police Department.
The name of the juvenile and details of the warrant weren't immediately released Monday.
CBP officials say custody of the youth was transferred to the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office in Nogales for extradition.
