TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for parts of Pima County.
The National Weather Service in Tucson recently issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern Pima County.
The weather system is approximately 16 miles southeast of Tucson and moving northwest at around 15 MPH.
The warning will remain in effect until 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
Severe thunderstorms are capable of producing winds in excess of 60 MPH.
Large hail, frequent lightening, and heavy rain are also likely in severe thunderstorms.
People are urged to seek shelter indoors.
